From Russia: A fish? A monster? An alien? A mermaid?

Yikes! Today in Global History my teacher somehow got on the subject of an "alien monster fish" found in Russia. So here is the story:

Some Russian fishermen were fishing in the Sea of Azov, and caught the strange looking "fish". The men first believed it to be a monster or an alien, which squeeked, and took video with a cell phone camera. Then they ate it! Specialists have looked at the video and say that the "fish" is not extraterrestrial, but have been unusure of the species. Some have said it looks like a skate, a member of the sting ray family, others say a sturgeon. The thing is preety strange looking and i was amazed while watching it. Here is the link:

From Christmas to New Years to Now

First off, sorry for not posting in a while, been busy/lazy. Secondly, I'm using Keiths blog to refresh my memory so some stuff may be similar. Ok, here we go.

12/22/06--- First day with no school, thank God, also Dads birthday, yippe. Keith came overat 7ish and we played basketball until dinner (he won, which has been happening recently, I need to start ballin' more!). Had a delicious dinner of something tasty, then gave some b-day presents to Dad. My gift was the best. Then came dessert which was followed by Christmas presents, yay! My big gift was an iPod nano, but also got a magazine subscription and running apparel, which was appreciated. The night ended with some tv and putting songs onto the "pod", then a great nights sleep.

12/23/06--- Woke up early to go for a 40 minute run before finishing packing and getting ready to go. Got back, showered, packed, and we finally left at around 12 (i think). Survived through the 3 1/2 hour drive to Lenox, MA, home of the Birchwood Inn, the delightful place where we would be staying. Checked in, said some hellos to relatives, and brought at least 100 items from the car up to the room. Then we hung out with family until Keiths arrival at 5:25, about 5 minutes from dinner. We all went to Napa Grille in the center of town for a pretty good dinner, mine was a big plate of ribs mmmm! We came back to the inn and more family arrived, then played some trivial pursuit. Then we all retired for the night.

12/24/06--- Woke up for a morning run, showered, and went downstairs for breakfast with Keith, Jon, and Ryan. While eating i was told a story about how Ryan thought he heard/ saw the ghost presumed to be haunting their room. I didn't believe him, but went along with it. Then Dad, Keith, Ryan, and I went skiing at Jiminy Peak. When we got there it was raining, and the slopes didnt look too good, but we tried it anyway, and it cleared up and we had a great time. We got back with enough time to shower and get changed for dinner at Lenox 218, which was just ok, i had some pasta and shrimp dish, which i got tired of really fast. Went to the inn for some Secret Santa exchange, i got a medley of gifts from Emily, including an iPod sport case, picture frame, and other small stuff. Then we played Scattergories until bed.

12/25/06--- Yay Christmas!!!! Woke up and ran as usual, but this morning was unusually peaceful, nice actually. Then had some breakfast and planned on sleeping through church, but plans to go to church got botched and we didnt go, could my Christmas get better, YES! Keith, Jon, and I played some football on the front lawn, but it turned into beat on Todd for fun, and we eventually got tired and went inside for some gift exchange. Gift time was nice, i got Tiger Woods PGA Tour '07, a new putter, practice golf balls, and a $50 gift card to iTunes. We then got ready for a delightful dinner at The Red Lion Inn. I had salmon, and watched my brother and cousin Jon try to see who could get the waitress to like them more, she had an engagement ring too, by the way. This ended unceremoniously, but with laughs. Keith then decided to play chess with little cousin Liam, and let him break a glass chess piece, way to go Keith! We then went back for some Pit, Mom and I tied for last. :sigh: Then bedtime.

12/26/06--- Woke up and guess what I did, yes run, another good one. Then came breakfast, goodbyes and a long ride home. We dropped of cousins Jon and Emily, who rode in our car, then picked up Shamrock. Came home and loafed around the rest of the day. Watched tv and the like, then bed.

12/27/06--- Track meet in NYC, did pretty well, this took up my whole day, it was from about 6:30-9:30 at night, we stopped for Mickey D's, then went home and probably tried to catch up on sleep.

12/28/06--- Nothing exciting, sorry. Ran, loafed, went to bed.

12/29/06--- Morning track practice, grrr, then did nothing.

12/30/06--- Run, loafing, sleep.

12/31/06--- Last run of '06. Went to the mobbed food store, came home, spent New Years with mom and dad, it consisted of eating and watching tv. then i went to bed.

1/01/07--- Woke up, first run of the new year, watched bobby knight become the winningest coach in NCAA basketball. Did nothing all day, maybe some homework at night, bed.

1/02/07---Last day of vacation. Ran, and spent my day doing hours of assignments due the next day, why do i always do that?

1/03/07--- School, track, tv, bed.

1/04/07--- ditto

1/05/07---ditto

1/06/07--- track meet in NYC, did ok, this also took up my whole day

1/07/07--- swim meet, then some tv, sleep

1/08/07--- school, track, tv, bed

1/09/07--- school, track, keith came over. we played basketball, he won, went to taco bell for a snack, then looked at keiths old yearbooks, which were pretty funny, then i went to bed

1/10/07--- school, track, tv, bed

1/11/07---school, track, swim meet, blogging.

So theres my recent journeys, sorry for some redundancy, but school can make that happen. I'll try to make some interesting blog soon, but until then...
